During
our excursion in Dubaï, we had the opportunity to visit the Hotel Apartments 5*
Al Ghurair Arjaan by Rotana. We had
the opportunity to meet the Sales
Manager, Ovi Marica.
The UAE's Rotana Hotel group was founded in 1922 by Lebanese Selim
el-Zir and Nasser al-Nawais and now has more
than 100 hotels and apartments in
the Middle East, Africa, South Asia and Eastern Europe markets. The headquarters is located in Abu
Dhabi.
It is a hotel management company who has today a portfolio of over 100
properties in 26 cities and operates five brands included Rotana Hotels &
Resorts, Centro Hotels by Rotana, Rayhaan Hotels & Resorts by Rotana,
Arjaan Hotel Apartments by Rotana and The Residences by Rotana.
This development is very important in the Middle East countries and it is permitted thanks to the top management strategy which is “no alcohol”. It doesn’t serve alcohol to its customers and we can speak about a “dry Hotel”. The Hotel’s customers mainly come from Iranian, Chinese and GCC markets.
After a brief explanation of the brand hotel, we made discover the public areas, the rooms and even the back offices.
This luxuous Hotel Apartments was opened in 2012 and has 128 apartments to
offer guests superior comfort, security, safety and warm hospitality thanks to
many facilities and features, available for the long and short-stay guests.
The Sales Managers explained us the difficulty to be full in Dubai because
the market is very competitive and today, there are more than 20 Dry Hotels 4*
and 5* in the state. The market is very competitive and supply exceeds demand. Which
is the possible future?
The Hotel Apartments
5* Al Ghurair Arjaan by Rotana has an advantage with its special target and its
market and today this Hotel and Apartments have an occupation rate about 75%.
The World
Expo scheduled in 2020 in Dubai expands the Hospitality offer in the state.
